Read through the attached list and identify which book, or pair of books, you will read for the first half of this quarter. You have 5 different choices, with varying levels of complexity. You will work on discussion questions in class with your partners as well as thematic projects. You will also have quizzes-see the next post for the quiz schedule.
This review will help you in addition to the in class review we will have for the test this week. The test will be in two parts: multiple choice and open response. You will have ten multiple choice questions (from the study guide) and you will choose TWO of the open response questions to respond to. You MUST support your answers with text evidence. You may use your novels to help you respond to the open response portion of the test.
Here is a sample bibliography (works cited) page to help you with formatting your bibliography. Make sure to refer to easybib.com to help you with creating the actual citations.
Please refer to the pdf below for instructions and requirements for completing the poem or poster. All entries are due on Monday, November 14th. Students will earn EXTRA CREDIT for this project, the assignment is NOT MANDATORY. Visit speechanddebate.org and click on the "membership" tab, then click on the "competition events" tab. Research the categories listed below, and decide which category you will work in for your presentation this quarter. All decisions must be approved by me by Friday, November 11th for a grade. You may compete, if you wish, in any of these categories in tournaments in addition to your class presentation.
